Can someone point me to a book about the history of tube/valve amplification that points to and explains the main developments in tube amplification principles, design and commercial pioneers, both designers and manufacturers?
For example, who at WE takes credit for the WE-91. I've seen several names, but who was the driving force. What about 2-stage amps? Were there any prior to WWII, or was the Loftin White design the first? Spuds?
