I have Niteshade NS-30 amp with a switch to select either the 4 or 8 ohm output taps. Unfortunately, the builder did not mark which tap is which. How can I measure or determine which is the 4 ohm and which is the 8 ohm tap???? I have a multi-meter as far as a diagnostic tool .... but nothing else.
Out of curiosity, does using the 8 ohm tap to drive a true 4 ohm speaker cause any harm??? I definitely prefer one tap as the sound is not as subjectively/objectively as loud but is more natural and refined sounding. I just don't know what tap I am using.

- The 8-Ohm tap produces higher Voltage which translates into higher speaker level... - jeffreybehr 21:47:41 02/27/14 (0)
