I prefer the Mullard sound and I like the Psvane also. Have you tried the Psvane first version or the Shuguang Natural 12AX7?

I just got a cryo pair of Gold Lion 12AX7's and a pair of Groove Tube 12ax7-M's and they are shaping up nicely. The Groove Tube is a Russian Mullard copy. This pair is from the original run, NOS new production I 'spose and I understand that they will again be available.

The reason the Mullard EL34's sound so good is because YOU like them. I have never heard the originals but I may look for a pair...just because. I can always sell them if they do it for me in my amp.

Have you tried the cheap and cheerful Shuguang EL34B?
