Once again and for the last time, different tubes have different bass responses and there are a few reports of bass champs. The Canadian Westinghouse 7408, The GE 7408 mentioned by the elusive but surfaced gearhunter and the HK-Sylvania 7408. If I was not already crazy would I be HERE!? Being poor is what I am trying to avoid by getting experienced peoples opinion on this site. Gearhunter seems to be one of main people who have looked into this matter. Also, there is more than one way to skin a cat. One commercial interconnect I tried on this 6v6 amp had incredible bass, deep and clear, to the point it sounded like I put a subwoofer in the system. unfortunately it had major flaws. This amp and certain tubes... can and eventually will have much improved bass. Tweaker
