Is a 5z3p rectifier a direct sub for a 5U4G rectifier? I have a single-ended KT88-based amplifier which uses one 5z3p rectifier. I made an Internet search and some people say that 5z3p is equivalent to 5U4G, while others say that it is equivalent to 5R4. I asked the seller and he said I can use it but the 5U4G may produce "a high spark" (does he mean arcing?), which, in turn, may blow the fuse...
