Did you mean that you crimped the pins together in the tube socket? I use a very small jewelers screwdriver to push the pins closer together. Make sure that the tool you are using has an insulated handle because you can get a shock doing this. You can also bend the pins on the tube a little. With a needle nose pliers put a small, gentle, outward bending curve to all the pins. Make sure that the base of the pins is of the same circumference of the socket so that the tube will still go into the socket. You might want to practice on a bad tube to get this right. good luck , dak
