Thanks heiney9! I put a pair of 6N1P tubes in a week ago. They sound 100% better then the stock 6N1's. I plan on ordering a pair of the 6N1P-EV's this week. Also I was thinking about ECC88's and also 6DJ8's.

Being very new to tubes, what brand would you recommend? The amp Im using is a Music Angel EL84 driving a pair of Lascalas I've had since new in 1981 and have done some upgrading/modifying too.

My main music genre is hard rock/ classic heavy metal. I also on occassion listen to 50's,60's Motown and even classical.

I sure appreciate all the recommendations I've been getting here at Tube Asylum. Thank you so very much, Ed
