All Sylvania grey plate 5751's are from the 1960's--the blackplate versions were produced in the 1950's. They are both very good, but overall I think I prefer the TMGP like yours. The music seems more relaxed and more flowing. For some reason, the black plates sound more "electronic" in my amp. I know that is not very descriptive--not sure how else to put it. The grey plates sound more "real". I know others will disagree--it is very subjective. Enjoy your tubes, they are very good indeed.
