Don't know what the answer to your question is, but wanted to share my experience with this amp.

I built one of these 2-3 years ago. It was an easy build, with good instructions, and worked the first time (always a big plus). It sounds ok.

Quibbles: The selector switch is designed for 6 inputs, but the circuit board only accommodates 3. A volume control upgrade is available and highly recommended; the one that came with my unit tracks so badly at low volume that it's unlistenable there.

I do like the lack of balance and tone controls. Also, the quality of components is good for the price (except for the aforementioned volume control).
