Tubes Asylum

Of all the EL 34 tubes, i find the KT77 and the 6CA7....

have the best balance, but at some sacrifice to the traditional mellow EL-34 mid-range. Of these two, the 6CA7 has the better mids. The KT77 has better bass and top end extension...based on the tubes I have used. Maybe the new Genelx KT77s have got it all; i have not heard them.

All the Red Lion KT-XX Genelex "re-issued" tubes have received a lot of praise on this forum.
