Deoxit is ok. The weaker D5 formula is better. Wipe the tube pins very lightly and insert it once or twice. That is enough.
I would be careful about using contact treatments, bending the socket springs, or using anything bigger than a standard tube pin to clean them. Once they're stretched, it's difficult to maintain tightness thereafter.
