FWIW, I own a pair of MC30s, a MC240 and a MC275 mIV. The MC30 has a magic that can be heard immediately and it's remarkable.

The MC275 has tighter and more controlled bass. The MC240 is between the two. I've driven all three with both MX110 and M22 preamps. Same results.

My main listening room is rather large and I have Spendor c8es in it. I never feel like the MC30s were underpowered.
