I find I can't bid unless the seller represents the tube thoroughly giving you a basis for returning it if it is not at all what the ignorant seller thinks it is and the picture are bad. Right now to fans of the 7316 which I count myself one of. There is an abundance of imitators on the market some with almost no description. I am gun shy when a bonanza of a fairly rare tube is being sold by half a dozen people and some have as many as 31 tube. That lot the seller wants 3 grand for so I am not even looking at it.
obviously I could be passing up an opportunity of a lifetime supply of them if real. I think I have more than I will use but you never can have enough. It is good for the economy to tie up a ton of money I don't readily have.
Or is this the great adjustment in ridiculous tube prices where all this rare hoarded stuff has reached an irresistable selling price. I doubt it personally . I think we are just witnessing the inevitable which for NOS or OS tubes is that they will be used or destroyed over time are a prime example of a completely non renewable resource.
An exception of the truly unscruopulous fraud tube makers.
Dear musician friends please sto toating your tubes for a fast break up and get a tube peddle device or a distortion box. That would leave the audio tube guys with 10Xs as many NOS OS small signal tubes to buy.
