I have the KT66 from Saratov and the Genelex re-issue.
The Saratov KT66 has really great highs but is
a little lean on the bass end of the spectrum.
The Genelex KT66 is very balanced and neutral sounding.
Also in contention is the Tungsol 6L6G re-issue.
It has a 6L6GC rating in a coke bottle glass envelope.
The Genelex is more of a "you are there" presentation.
The Tungsol is more of "they are here" presentation.
The Tungsol is warmer and easier on the ears.
The Genelex is more dynamic and bold.
I use the Genelex for rock and the Tungsol for jazz.
Both are great in their own way.
The Saratov is left collecting dust.
BTW I have a SE DIY amp with a 6P5GT driver.
