Something Better than NOS Telsa 6922's

I have been searching for the best tubes for my DAC with 6Dj8 SRPP analog stage.

I have tried Bugle Boys, Jan-Phillips, Sovteks, late Mullards. None sounded as good as these Telsa gold pins.

Only the Bugle Boys came close. Actually when I first put them in the Bugle Boys had the magic I am looking for: sweet big rich midrange. Then it just turned thin, second pair were thin too.

The Jan Phillips were harsh in the upper mids, the late Mullards extremely thin and the Sovteks dull.

The Telsa's are very nice, but there is a very slight sharpness/sibilance in the very upper midrange.

I am looking for a tube with a rich imaged midrange. The kind that pops out at you.

Any recommendations?
