What qualifies as a matched pair?

I might try to bid for a pair of Siemens 5814A triple mica long plates but would like to be reassured that they're worth getting and trying. I've in fact asked before about a previous pair that was selling and how they would perform in a Jolida JD100S CD player (the one which uses two 12au7s and to 12ax7s). These, however, have slightly dissimilar date codes: PØ 4≠ 3H and PØ 4≠ 3G. Would you say that's a critical difference?
