Amperex JAN 7308 gold pins

I am wondering who made the Amperex JAN 7308 gold pins (1972, green print)? I don't mean to say that they sound bad, but they are quite different from, say, US-made orange print Amperex 6922. In my electronics (e.g., Cary SLI-80), the JAN 7308 tubes sound somewhere in between Sovtek/EH and later Siemens tubes - very loud, bright and punchy.
