Stay away from the Tung Sol 6550's.

Shunguang makes a great KT-66 but perhaps not as reliable Russo reissue.

If you want more bottom I would use the SED Winged C 6550, but for some reason any 6 pack I have ever heard used EL 34EH so I can't say objectivly.

I have heard the 6CA7 EH and it's pretty awsome too.

Forget NOS, too expensive though they do last longer.

6 packs are a great working man's amp.
