JJ KT77 tubes, closer imdepdence to a 6L6?

I was just over at the Torres Guitar site, and on the KT77 JJ tubes, they were stating that they may actually be closer to a 6L6 with higher voltage capability than to a EL34 tube. If that is the c ase, I may try some!
