I have the original Paradisea, not the Paradisea + which has a different transformer, OP amp and some of the caps are sourced from a different manufacturer so take my opinion based upon the fact that there are probable sonic differences between the two different models.

With that said, my favorite is the Bendix 2c51, followed by the GE 5 star, WE 396a and the stock GE 5670 at a distant last. Choice of tube can definitely affect the sonic presentation, as can swapping caps and OP amps. The Paradisea is an excellent platform for modification for those inclined to do so. A matter of trial and error to tailor the sound to your liking but worth it to those who have made the effort. I suspect those who have made modifications to the Paradisea consider their efforts to be a work in progress, but a very rewarding one none the less.
