Even though I didn't realize until now that there was such a thing as "floppy tubes," they do suck. The good news is that I can seat the tubes so they work and, for now, if they don't get moved around, the're allright. I think messign with the sockets or draining the capacitors may be a bit much for me. But at least I know what's going on.Thanks, guys.
