Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |

my integrated amp can be used as a seperate power amp by disconnecting the pre-amp to the main. When I do this while the amp is on there is always a loud buzz so I plugged in a wire into the headphone jack connected to nothing, to avoid hearing this noise and possibly damaging my speakers. Tonight I noticed that during the time when I would hear the loud buzz, the right pair of EL34 tubes where flashing. Is this normal/safe? Thanks. It is a Luxman LX-33.
