microphonics woes

I have a pair of GE JAN 12AX7s that were completely fine two months ago when I tested them in my integrated amp with EL34s. Two weeks ago I rolled in a quad of the Gold Lion KT88 reissues and now, just a few hours ago, I decided to pop in the GEs again to see how they sound and they are VERY microphonic. It sounded like I had one of those Ocean waves CDs playing.

Anyone have an idea how this could have happenned? The tubes were sitting in their boxes the whole time, never dropped or anything, so I'm a bit confused as to how they could suddenly become so microphonic. I'm curious if they might only be microphonic with the KT88s and still alright with the EL34s? I'd roll the EL34s back in to check, but I don't feel like rebiasing. Can tube rolling (i.e., taking a tube in and out of an amplifier) make a tube microphonic?
Any insight into why the tubes went bad and how I can avoid this in the future would be appreciated.
