The 600 with the socket island is pretty much the same. If you like the 800 which I also have but is out for repairs. I thought about Dyna-quick 747s etc,I have used a TV DU-7 which wasn't my cuppa tea. The next step up is a quantum leap more complex and expense, serviced and calibrated or not,The 539 series and the 539c was updated continually to the end. It looks like a lttle more the just a quick transition from the 800. Finally jump ahead 40 years yes 40 and look at the curve tracers. The the Amplitrex that and the limited function VTV is tube tester market at the consumer market in current production .
