I finally caved in and decided to order some 2A3Cs, but found that SuperTnT is out of stock in them, at least for now. So I ordered a pair from an eBay seller, Adelie Audio, in Hong Kong. Price and shipping were similar to TnT's and I may get some extra legal protection since I could use Paypal, and I was eager to try these raved-about tubes.
But now I wonder if SuperTnT's extra testing and selection would have made it worth waiting for them to restock. Does anyone have experience with Adelie, or with tubes of the same type (2A3C or other) from both TnT and other sources? I'm concerned about reliability and sound quality here, not exact matching as I will be using these in SET monos (not PP or parallel.)
