I've used SED EL34. Sounds fabulous, harmonically rich if you like that kind of sound.Before I used SED, I have used EH EL34 which is also good sounding but reliability is inconsistent at least the ones I have. I bought 4 that I used in my CJ MV-55. Two went bad after only a month. I bought another pair and after 4-5 months one of the newer tubes went bad also. It flashes and made crackling sound.
Before I used SED and EH, I used Sovtek EL34G which sounded thin and bright. The only good thing about Sovtek EL34G is that it is no longer produced.
