A bit off topic perhaps, but gearing up for April 1st in a few weeks...
I was listening on XM's "Music Lab" channel and heard a lively tune by Phish called "First Tube." Phish, as you may know (or not give a darn, as appropriate) is (was?) a band that came after the Grateful Dead, the legendary hippie band of the 60s-90s. Sadly, I've heard Phish has disbanded. I never got to see them.
Anyway, I suspect the "tube" of the song's title refers not to a thermionic valve but a glass (or more likely plastic) cylinder used for the "smokin' o' the green" as the Irish might say.
