Has anyone with a VAC Renaissance 70/70 or 30/30 tried a 300b XLS? I'm curious to hear any outcomes others have had with this tube in the VAC. From looking at specs on paper, it seems like an ideal match, as the VAC likes the filaments at 1.5a and the plate voltage runs at 450V, which is really the limit for a standard 300b.My JJs sound great in my VAC, but would like to get another tube set to try.
