I pulled that amp to bits to try something new quite some time ago. I do not remember any hum problems, but I can't remember whether I used AC or DC heating. Probably DC because that's what I usually do.If you can get these V/Ts (especially the 211s) for $20 each you should buy as many as you can afford. Decent 211s are worth $100 minimum. Sell a few through the asylum classifieds to fund purchasing the rest.
