Tubes Asylum Questions about tubes and gear that glows. FAQ |
|
I've been experiencing massive volume fluctuations in my setup and have attributed it to my Level 1 modified Jolida 102B (have tried three sets of different speakers and two cdps). At some points, where there should be female vocals present, I hear nothing but the bass line. At other times, the volume completely drops and then goes back up.
This is my first tube amp and am assuming it's a bad tube? Is there any way to tell whether the tube is bad? I just re-biased the amp and the multimeter indicated that the required volts were present..thanks
ps...I'm also using extremely efficient Omega speakers so I know it's not an issue of lask of power
