Actually, they are fairly rare, even despite the hoarding. They were only made for a few years (on 6SL7 tooling) before TS switched to different plate structure(s). The 6SL7 version came with a brown base sometimes. I just picked up a pair of the round-mica types this past weekend. The price was, (ahem)... good.-Ed
