Yes, one of my very favorites too. Lush without being mush. I've seen a few flavors/variants of this tube. I've got a few very old ones, dating to around 1950, and some as late as 1961/63. They're all good. The ones I know I really like are two mica, black plates, with an upward angled rectangular getter with a little bend in the end. Others look to have the same plate structure, but the getter is either a small D shape or a long rectangle that's parallel to the top mica. Sounds like the ones you have are mid/late fifties. And they're 5814"A"s vs earlier 5814s. Mid-/late-fifties sounds about right.- SJ
