For the 12AX7, try a Sovtek 12AX7LPS. It's a FINE tube. And for 6922 on the cheap, if you already have an EH then try a JJ. The EH are quieter, but once I screen the bad JJs out the tubes that are left are real decent. JJ tubes must be screened for low noise IMHO.
