I'd appreciate suggestions for what's decent and not terribly expensive in vintage or current 6L6/KT66 hifi amps.
Anyone have an opinion about late 50s/early 60s Heathkit hifi output transformers? Not the Heathkit Peerless transformers. I'm considering a set of W4-AM monoblocks (6L6). They use 6SN7GT drivers. Seems like it oughta be a decent set (updated with new, proper caps, etc) if the transformers a good enough.
