IMHO---RCA clear tops are over-rated, for the price. Mil spec TungSol 12AU7 (black plates, 1950). Chrome top, black plate early 50's RCA 12AU7. And early Mullard ECC82 seems to be better.Then, there's this hard to find CBS 12AU7...
