This lean and analytical character is what I get in my system. Not bad, but on the "dry" side. The ECC802S is very different. I've found it character in my system has much more tonal "bloom". Too much so for some configurations. ...that darned synergy...If something sounds distorted...? A good tube in a good circuit shouldn't sound this way.
