Sonically valuable; with tweaks they are the #1 hifi bargain. As for $ value, two weeks ago my friend Greg B. got a single MKIII on ebay, nice shape, with a Mullard GZ34 and a pair of TungSol 6550s for... $125! They routinely sell for $300-$450(mint) per pair in good working order. Not working.... not worth much.
