I am currently using a quad of those tubes in my Marantz 8B. While having good extension at frequency ends, I somehow prefer the smooth, creamy mids of my cryo Valve Art EL34s. So is this 'cooler' tone a characteristic of the EIs or do they need a very long burn-in period (they have been used for more than a week by now)?
