Here's A Shot Of The Chassis Underside....

I attached a ferrite core to the heater wiring that goes to the phono stage PCB. It should, hopefully, help to reduce stray RF and perhaps hum as well.

I also added a fuse holder. I was about to install a fast acting 0.5 amp fuse. But then, I found out the power switch is a single throw unit, and hence the switched outlets and preamp all share the same wiring. The only way to add the fuse would be to disable the switched outlets or add a new power switch. I postponed this work for later...

Finally, I added a 22uF @ 500V axial electrolytic parallel to the first section of the quad cap that feeds the phono section, in an effort to reduce hum.

A listening test confirmed a very quiet preamp. Still a very slight hum on phono, but completely inaudible under regular listening levels.
