I'm in the process of buying a new stereo. A local dealer has a C-J CAV50, floor model, that I can get for $1700. I've been looking around and so far, have not found a better deal. I owned a CAV50 serveral years back and know it to be a pretty good amp. Are there any other tube integrateds under $2500 I should be looking at? Also, what speakers have CAV50 owners found to work well with the amp? I listened to the Quad 22L and loved them but I'm not so sure they would be a great match with the CAV50. I also noticed the local Tweeter is closing out Vienna Acoustic Mozarts for $1600. Great deal but again, not sure if they would match well with a 45 watt tube amp. Suggestions? My budget needs to stay under $5K for integrated and speakers. Of course, the lower the better.
