Jack's post is based on his opinion of dealers. As an example he states that I am one of the most expensive tube dealers. While we're not the cheapest...and don't want to be because of the service and standards I want to maintain, there are plenty of places that sell stuff that is more expensive than us. AES sells Mullard 12AX7's for $60 that aren't even made by Mullard (if what I see in their ad is what I think it is), we're no where near that.

The funny thing about this web page is that if someone reads something they take it as fact. Or that it applies to their needs.

One guy stated recently that the worst sounding 5751 was green (or white) labeled G.E.'s...that the other color was better. The fact is, they could and were made in both colors the same day. Whether or not they were labeled white or green depended on the packaging. If they were retail package or bulk pack for commercial accounts.
