The SL6nnnn series "was" particularly good at classical/acoustic/light rock duties at low to moderate volumes. The BM-6 really kicks and is capable of going very loud considering it's size.Yes, the BM5 and BM6 work very well in the home if you can live with the looks.
If you were looking for something quite extraordinary for the money, the Alesis Monitor 1 mk2 is amazing for the money. It is a bi-amp'd active monitor and on discount you can get them for half the price of the BM6. They are shockingly good!!!
