ProAC tablette noise problem

General speaker questions for audio and home theater.

I had a pair of ProAC tablette since 1990. I really enjoy the sound. However, one of the speakers developed a noise problem. Onec I turn it on, it starts with a kind of white noise, then slowly becomes something like a loud static pop sound. I used different amps and am sure it is the speaker. What could be the problem? I checked ProAC website, there is no contact info.
