If you DIY a couple speakers come to mind. 1. The Areils or ME-2's I used them with a SET amp with good results and Lynn Olsen states that a good 30Watt EL 34 amp is a good match. I bet they would sing with your amp. Check out the web page at www.aloha audio.com. The kit except for box can be bought from North Creek, madisound etc.The speaker I'm now using are becoming rare, however it is still available, the newest Fried C3/L. With a pair of D powered Subwoofers. It is 90+ db efficent and a very easy load to drive. I imagine you could build the C3/L with out subs for about $500.00.
I could and do live with both of these. The Me-2's are more nuetral. The Frieds have a wider range, are dinamic, and at least for my experiance can be mated with more amps.
