if you want to save big bucks in the long run, plan out the entire system you want to have when you're done upgrading, then start buying each component of it. if you approach it randomly you'll waste a lot of time and money. an honest appraisal of the sound you want to hear when you're done is a great starting place. get out as much as you can and do a lot of listening (with your own music in hand). have fun.
