I really think the overall sound of the dyns is quite different than the paradigms in presentation. I think that paradigms are fairly foward and can tend to sound harsh to the sensitive ear. The dyns are more neutral in presentation and in some cases laid back as far as male vocal soundstage (in my experience). I really liked the dyns but ultimately I didn't think they were the best I heard for the money. If you like the paradigms but are worried that they are a little harsh than you should also look at the B&W CDM NT series. The presentation is very similar to the paradigms in being slightly forward but the highs are more smooth, albeit ruthless with bad equipment.
