I have not heard the Proac new subwoofer, but an audio reviewer in Hong Kong (who has used many many different subs and does not often recommend them) said it is one of the best subwoofer out there and can compare to subwoofers price 4 times as much, and it is quite compact in comparison. It is a product that the designer has put a lot of thought in the last few years before it is put into production.Hoope this helps.
