Von Schwiekert VR4 and cables/interconnects

My current cables are MIT Terminator 3/PBJ/Canare, but I feel they don't mate well with my Von Schweikerts - they seen veiled, conjested, image poorly and farty bass. I need 1 digital cable, 3 pair interconnects and 2 X 8' runs speaker cable (system is bi-amped: SS on bottom, tubes on top).
I am considering Harmonic Technology (especially truth-link interconnects), JPS Ultraconductor (I am a sucker for a bargain), Acoustic Zen and Analysis Plus (especially Oval 9 speaker cables). What else should I audition?
My budget is $1300, so I will not be able to upgrade all at once.
Appreciate any thoughts from others/Von Schweikert owners.
