I agree with JRGTR. I also have had ProAc 2.5s and now owner of Merlin VSM Ms. Merlins are super fast, transparent, and highly detailed(but not bright). On some Jazz LPs, Merlins blow me away even with low volume. I'm still not sure with BAM whether it is a good thing or not but with low wat SET amps, I do not use BAM. Bass is very tight and deep even without BAM.
