I just bought a set of the JBL S38's to run as a second pair off of my Pioneer SX 939 on top of some shelves in a large "great room" here in Florida....Man these speakers really sound great and they put my Bose 301 series 2's to shame that I have in another room in my house running off of an 838 pioneer receiver....If you are looking for some top of the line JBL bookshelf speakers,these are wonderful,full,and very natural sounding speakers..John
